Students did a twist on our usual woven pottery project and created ceramic looms. After creating the outside shape and adding texture, they removed a circle and punched holes around it with straws. Watercolor and pastel gave us the effect of glaze without the extra firing time, and lastly the yarn was woven through the holes. After learning techniques to attach two pieces of wire together, students created faces out of different colored wire and different gauges.
